Tatiana Dolfine

We create our paradigms based on our experiences and thoughts. I have found that self-awareness of my looping thoughts allows me to shift my reality to see new layers of meaning. My art connects me to my sensitive child-like wonder creating magical, imaginative visual stories. Using mixed media, I create abstracted realities with flowing lines, shapes and forms. Nature inspires my meditative creative process depicting metamorphosis. I am discovering healing through my painting process and I hope the viewer will join me and find new layers of magic in my fairytale.

Tatiana is a longtime resident of Austin with a lifetime of work in the arts. She received her BFA specializing in Film and Animation from the University of Utah, her experiences include working at Austin's PBS, teaching art and animation and showing work at the SXSW community screening. She has been working as a Graphic Designer for different organizations, including her present role at the Austin Central Library.

She is expanding her creative contribution by focusing back on paintbrushes and expressing the depth of her internal and external landscapes through her art. She describes, "My art is in this space, but not of this space," conjuring inspiration from mystical dreams and visions to depict her connection to nature and other humans.
